[Press Release] Selected for Kanagawa Prefecture’s “Satellite Data Utilization Project”

Space Shift Inc. (Head Office: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Naruo Kanamoto; hereinafter “Space Shift”) is pleased to announce that two of our demonstration projects have been selected under Kanagawa Prefecture’s “Satellite Data Utilization Project.”

Kanagawa Prefecture is promoting the creation of new use cases and business models utilizing “satellite data,” which is expected to expand as a new approach to solving social challenges. The two projects proposed by our company are as follows:

1) On-site Demonstration Project of Infrastructure Management Solutions through Deformation Analysis (Joint Proposal with JGC Global Corporation):

By utilizing satellite data taken repeatedly at the same location, we will analyze positional changes of infrastructure facilities such as ports and railways, and develop an application model that enables remote and wide-area monitoring to identify facilities requiring inspection or maintenance.

2) Idle Farmland Exploration through Satellite × AI (Joint Proposal with Informatix Inc.):

By combining satellite imagery data, which shows farmland utilization, with AI technology, we will develop a service that visualizes the potential of idle farmland.

Through this initiative, we will contribute to solving regional issues in Kanagawa Prefecture while continuing to advance our technological capabilities.
