[Blog] Contributing as a Lecturer to the “Space Talent Development Program for Colleges of Technology” — Supporting the Growth of the Next Generation of Space Professionals
With the rapid development of the space industry, there is an urgent need to cultivate talent equipped with practical, hands-on skills. In response, our company is committed to contributing to space human resource development by participating as a lecturer in the “Space Systems Utilization Training Program,” led by volunteer faculty members from colleges of technology across Japan, with Niihama National College of Technology at its core.
Report on the 6th Session
On June 13, our tech lead, Mr. Sato, delivered a lecture titled “The Frontlines of Space Data and Solving Social Issues” as part of the sixth session of this training program.
The session was held at Niihama National College of Technology in Ehime Prefecture and was attended by over 30 students both in person and online.
The students listened attentively throughout the lecture, demonstrating strong interest and enthusiasm for the use of space data.
Future Outlook and Space Shift’s Commitment
Leveraging our cutting-edge knowledge and experience in satellite data utilization, we will continue to contribute to developing the next generation’s ability to identify and solve problems independently. Over the coming sessions, we plan to provide additional lectures and mentoring to students as part of this initiative.
Looking ahead, we are also considering accepting interns to provide more hands-on learning opportunities and further support talent development that will drive the growth of Japan’s space industry.
