This browser-based self-serve platform streamlines the entire satellite data workflow—from API key generation and analysis execution to job management and usage monitoring—enabling users to manage their data operations in one centralized location. 

What once required weeks of contract negotiations and specialized expertise has evolved into a browser-based API that goes live in minutes. 

By shifting the paradigm from “outsourced requests” to “self-serve empowerment,” Space Shift is fundamentally redefining how the world utilizes satellite data.

SateAIs API: Diverse Use Cases 

Historically, satellite data analysis has been a fragmented field, requiring the manual orchestration of complex processes—including data acquisition, preprocessing, and algorithm implementation—before it could be operationalized. 

SateAIs API consolidates this end-to-end workflow into a single request, providing a seamless environment that enables anyone to leverage satellite insights tailored to their specific business needs. 

  • Direct integration with existing systems — Trigger complex analyses with a single API request from your GIS, ERP, BI dashboards, or internal workflows.The entire lifecycle—from data acquisition and preprocessing to model execution and results delivery—is managed entirely by the SateAIs API. 
  • Drastically lower the barrier to satellite analysis — Eliminate the need for manual data procurement, preprocessing, and algorithm implementation—simply specify your target area (Scene ID or AOI) and timeframe to receive instant analysis results. 
  • Automated, high-volume, and recurring execution — Efficiently manage large-scale, recurring monitoring across multiple locations using our asynchronous job processing and comprehensive management features.

About SateAIs 

Built on the concept of “Empowering the Frontlines with Satellite & AI Analysis,” SateAIs is a premier analysis brand that systematizes Space Shift’s proprietary algorithms into intuitive categories by application and delivery format. 

By transforming complex, high-barrier satellite analysis into objective-specific AI packages, SateAIs provides a streamlined environment where diverse users—from municipalities and private enterprises to research institutions—can leverage satellite insights to solve their unique operational challenges. 

In addition to our existing service models—such as report-based delivery and expert consulting—the launch of SateAIs API introduces a new self-serve option, allowing users to perform satellite data analysis exactly when and where they need it. 

Four Analysis Endpoints Available in Beta

In the Beta version, we provide the following four analysis algorithms utilizing data from the “Sentinel-1” SAR satellite. 

  • Vessel Detection AI (SateAIs Ocean): Automatically detects vessel locations within specified maritime areas. 
  • Oil Slick Detection AI (SateAIs Ocean): Automatically detects oil films on the ocean surface. 
  • New Building Detection AI (SateAIs City): Detects transitions from non-built-up to built-up areas. 
  • Time-Series Change Detection AI (SateAIs Time): Provides regular observation and change alerts for specified locations. 

Each endpoint can be called by specifying either a Scene ID or an AOI and timeframe. The asynchronous job system allows you to monitor execution status, and once complete, analysis results can be downloaded via a pre-signed URL. We plan to continuously expand the range of supported analysis algorithms.

How to Access the Beta 

We offer a Free plan during the Beta phase. Upon account registration, you can immediately start testing all available endpoints. 

  • Price: Free 
  • Credits: 500 credits per month (Resets on the 1st of every month at 0:00 JST) 
  • Supported Satellite: Sentinel-1 (C-band SAR) 
  • Support: SateAIs API Docs 

Please note: As this service is currently in Beta, features and pricing are subject to change without notice. Service Level Agreements (SLA) do not apply. We plan to introduce paid plans upon the General Availability (GA) release.

Future Outlook 

Space Shift will continuously expand and enhance the SateAIs API as our core channel for delivering satellite data analysis. 

  • Expanding Analysis Capabilities: We will progressively integrate our existing analysis algorithms into the API, building a diverse lineup that serves a wide range of industries and applications. 
  • Enhancing the Development Environment: We will expand our ecosystem to support diverse development styles, including the provision of SDKs and integration with Generative AI. 
  • Introduction of Paid Plans: To coincide with General Availability (GA), we plan to launch paid plans tailored to needs such as steady-state operations, large-scale deployments, and high-precision analysis leveraging commercial SAR satellites. 

By offering four distinct delivery methods—API, Generative AI, Dashboards, and Developer Tools—we are creating an environment where satellite data analysis can be seamlessly integrated into any workflow, regardless of industry or profession.
