[News] Contributed to the May 2025 Issue of the JSCE Journal – Special Feature: “Pioneering Space with Civil Engineering”
We are pleased to announce that our Chief Business Officer, Tamao Tada, has contributed an article to the May 2025 issue of the Journal of the Japan Society of Civil Engineers (JSCE), featured in the special edition titled:
“Pioneering Space with Civil Engineering – Exploring the Potential of Civil Engineering in Space Development.”
The title of the contributed article is:
” Tackling social challenges using space technology – Innovating in a space startup with SAR satellites and AI -”
In this article, Tamao—who began her career in a construction consulting firm—introduces the latest initiatives combining Synthetic Aperture Radar (SAR) satellites and AI, which are drawing attention in the field of Earth observation. From his unique perspective, he discusses how the integration of satellite data into the civil engineering and construction sectors could help solve social challenges, foster collaboration across industries, and lead to the formation of new ecosystems.
Space development is no longer limited to specialized agencies or governments—it is increasingly becoming a field where private companies, including those in civil engineering, play a critical role. At Space Shift, we are committed to co-creating with companies across diverse industries, contributing to the development of a forward-looking society through technology and innovation.
