[Activity Report] Speaker Appearance at the JICA / JAXA / CONSEO Seminar on the Latest Applications of Space Technology in the Earth & Environmental Sector

On February 19, our colleague Mr. Sato (second from the right in the photo) spoke at the seminar titled “Latest Trends in the Utilization of Space Technologies in the Field of Earth Environment”, hosted by JICA, co-hosted by JAXA, and supported by CONSEO.
The seminar focused on JICA’s project, “Information Collection and Confirmation Survey on the Utilization of Digital and Space Technologies for Hydrological Information Collection and Analysis,” and featured a panel discussion on the application of space and digital technologies in the field of Earth and environmental studies.
In the water resources sector, particularly in the Global South, the lack of fundamental data required for developing water resource management master plans remains a critical challenge. By leveraging advanced satellite data technologies, it is expected that not only can baseline information for master plan development be supplemented, but also that existing plans can be reviewed and updated based on newly derived insights.
In this demonstration, we confirmed a correlation between the analysis results generated by our “Building Change Detection AI” and water demand. A white paper summarizing the details of this demonstration will be released at a later date.
