From December 4 to 6, 2024, Africa Investment Forum (AIF) 2024 was held in Rabat, Morocco. We had the honor of having our Chief Business Officer, Tamao, participate in a panel discussion at the invitation of the African Development Bank.

■ About AIF 2024

AIF is a cross-sectoral platform launched in 2018 by eight development finance institutions, including the African Development Bank. It brings together a diverse range of stakeholders from within and outside Africa. The forum focuses on developing projects to a bankable stage, raising funds, and accelerating deals to financial closure. For more details, please refer to the AIF 2024 link below:

Participating in the Panel Discussion

On December 5, during the event hosted by Japan titled “Agricultural Innovation and Green Growth: Transforming Africa’s Investment Landscape”, our CBO participated in a panel discussion under the theme “Digitalization and Agriculture for Sustainable Development.”

In this panel discussion, under the facilitation of Mr. Nomoto, Executive Director for Japan, African Development Bank Group, several notable speakers participated, including Ms. Beth, Vice President of Agriculture, Human, and Social Development at the African Development Bank; Mr. Richard, Director of Agriculture Finance & Rural Development at the Bank; and Mr. Wakabayashi from the Private Sector Partnership Division of the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA). Along with these distinguished participants, several companies, including ours, which are engaged in cutting-edge digital technologies and initiatives in the agricultural sector, introduced technologies and case studies aimed at achieving sustainable development.

The participants showed great interest in our technology, and through the event we realized again the importance of agriculture sector and improving financial access for farmers including microfinance, in Africa.

Furthermore, the event provided a valuable opportunity to strengthen our network with government agencies, companies, and other key stakeholders, which is crucial for expanding our business across African countries.
