Press Release : Launch of Free Beta Version of Satellite Data Analysis Tool for Generative AI Services
Space Shift Inc. is working to integrate its satellite data analysis AI with generative AI services.
We are pleased to announce the launch of a beta version of our data analysis tool designed for generative AI services, as the first step in this initiative.
◼︎Background
Space Shift has been focused on developing AI for satellite data analysis and advancing its application across various industries.
To make satellite data more accessible to governments, municipalities, private companies, and even individuals, we have developed a tool that connects our AI with rapidly evolving generative AI services.
We are now launching a beta version of this advanced tool designed specifically for generative AI, offering a globally pioneering solution in satellite data analysis.
◼︎ Space Shift’s Beta Tool for Generative AI Services
Overview:
The beta version of this tool developed by Space Shift can seamlessly integrate with existing generative AI services such as Claude by Anthropic.
Users can instruct the generative AI to analyze satellite data using natural language via this beta tool, and even receive the results automatically compiled into a report.
As with typical generative AI usage, users can further instruct the AI to conduct additional research, analyses, and report updates based on the results.
This beta version currently enables access to Space Shift’s proprietary Sentinel-1 Time-Series Change Detection Algorithm via generative AI.
By automatically acquiring Sentinel-1 satellite data for a specified location, the tool detects changes over time and provides the identified change dates to the generative AI.
◼Usage Examples
-
Osaka Expo (Japanese):

Prompt: 「大阪万博(latitude: 34.6493, longitude: 135.3841)において2023年の変化を衛星データから検知してください。さらにニュースを調査して変化の理由を、根拠をもって説明してください。」 -
Osaka Expo (English):

Prompt: “Please detect changes at the Osaka Expo site (latitude: 34.6493, longitude: 135.3841) in 2023 using satellite data. Additionally, research news sources to explain the reasons for these changes with supporting evidence.” -
Gaza Strip (Japanese):

Prompt: 「ガザ地区(latitude: 31.512, longitude:34.445)において2023年の変化を衛星データから検知してください。さらにニュースを調査して変化の理由を、根拠をもって説明してください。」 -
Gaza Strip (English):

Prompt: “Please detect changes in the Gaza Strip (latitude: 31.512, longitude: 34.445) in 2023 using satellite data. Additionally, research news sources to explain the reasons for these changes with supporting evidence.”
◼︎How to Use the Beta Tool
The beta tool is free to use regardless of the number of analyses performed.
It is currently verified to work via the “Connector” feature of Claude Pro (paid version). It should also function on other platforms that support similar connectors, such as MCP (Model Context Protocol).
To activate the beta tool, users must issue explicit commands (e.g., “analyze satellite data”) or rely on the generative AI’s own judgment.
When using the tool, it is essential to specify the location and time period to be analyzed.
Although location names may work, specifying latitude and longitude ensures more stable performance due to limitations in geolocation interpretation by some AIs.
To get started, please register using the link below. Once registered, you will receive a video tutorial and all necessary information for setup.

◼︎Special Offer for SateBiz Partners
While the beta tool is free to use, the default maximum analysis period is limited to 6 months.
However, members of Space Shift’s SateBiz program will receive extended access of up to 12 months.
Details will be provided separately to registered partners.
(For those interested in joining SateBiz, please contact us. )
◼︎Important Notes
This tool is currently in beta testing and may be modified or discontinued without notice due to operational reasons.
Please refrain from entering sensitive or confidential information unless you fully understand the associated risks.
While the beta tool itself is free, users are responsible for any costs associated with using third-party generative AI platforms.
◼︎Future Plans
The current beta tool supports only Space Shift’s “Sentinel-1 Time-Series Change Detection Algorithm.” However, we plan to expand the offering to include other AI models and deep learning algorithms developed by Space Shift ( We are considering development utilizing Amazon Bedrock) .
